Multi-Frequency Imaging in Random Media: Stability and Resolution

چکیده

An important feature of the propagation channel considered here is that the mean or coherent signals do not vanish. Such is the case for what is called in wireless literature Rician fading channel where in addition to incoherent signals there is a significant, nonfluctuating multipath component. The Rician fading channel arises where there is line-of-sight (direct path) between transmitter and receiver or where there are fixed scatterers or reflectors in the medium [11]. The mean-zero case of the Rayleigh fading channel occurs in the strongly fluctuation regime which is beyond the scope of the present work.
